What We’ll Be Seed Saving Together 🌼
This initiative will center on shared learning and collective stewardship. Save as little or as much seed of any plant as you want, but for 2026, our first seed focus will be:
Saving marigold and calendula seeds
We’ll also share our 2026 seed-saving goals and activities, including:
Encouraging GRP growers to bring extra or excess saved seeds and seed packets to the Annual Celebration in December 2026 for sharing
Selecting 3–5 local libraries to host mini seed libraries stocked with GRP information and donated or surplus seeds
Whether you’re brand new to seed saving or already have seeds to share, this kickoff is a chance to learn, connect, and help grow a stronger, community-rooted seed network across Detroit. 🌱
We hope to see you there!
Street parking is available
Please note: there is one step up to the curb and one step to enter the community center building
