Parking
KGD Farm is located at 3100 Orleans St, Detroit, MI 48207. Parking in the lot across the street from the farm (entrances to the lot are on Wilkin St. and Riopelle St). There is also street parking available on Erskine St. for easier accessibility. Parking is not allowed on Orleans St.
Our garden community is blooming—and so is the excitement at distribution! With more growers joining us, things are getting busier (in the best way). While our goal is to keep your wait time under 30 minutes, we also want the experience to be enjoyable. To keep things moving and fun, we’re adding more pick-up stations—so you can spend less time waiting and more time growing!
What to Expect
Plan to spend up to 30 minutes at distribution, especially if you arrive right at the start. If your schedule allows, consider coming a bit later during the distribution window—lines are usually shorter then.
When you arrive, check in at the check-in table next to the farm entrance.
If you need to pay for or have questions about your 2025 application, visit the application & payment table next to the farm entrance.
A swap table will be available for growers to exchange seeds and transplants.
Visit the engagement table for KGD class info, upcoming events, and a fun activity for GRP kiddos.
No pets allowed except for service animals.
Accessibility at KGD Farm
There is a step-free entrance at the corner of Orleans & Wilkins. There is one step up onto the curb from Orleans St to the entrance of KGD Farm. Pathway materials at KGD Farm include wood chips, gravel, and grass.
If you need assistance with collecting or carrying your resources to your car, please go to the front of the line and let staff know and we will assist you
