Annual Celebration

  • St Matthew's & St Joseph's Episcopal Church 8850 Woodward Avenue Detroit, MI, 48202 United States (map)

NOTE VENUE CHANGE!

Join us for a great time to reminisce and party with fellow Garden Resource Program members about this growing season’s milestones, and to share insights for next season. While catching up with one another, we’ll dine on soups and salads featuring produce from KGD Farm, create dried herb bundles, and seed-saving/swapping (feel free to bring your own seeds and herbs to share as well!). The celebration will also feature a panel of some all-star gardeners sharing their lessons learned this season: Philip Woods of Lone Pine Community Garden (Detroit Black Farmer Land Fund awardee, Build Crew member), Merle Pants of Lyndon Street Farm (Grown in Detroit grower, Build Crew member), and Anne Lynn of We 3 Queens (Detroit Black Farmer Land Fund awardee, Urban Roots graduate).

This event is the first in-person Annual Celebration since before the pandemic. It’s FREE and open to Garden Resource Program members only.

Location/Parking: There is a parking lot located on King and Woodward next to the church. The handicap entrance is located closest to Woodward.

RSVP below so we can make sure to plan accordingly. See you there!
