Join us for a fun and hands-on workshop all about native bees! This workshop is intended for children with parents or caregivers in the Garden Resource Program. Make sure you have filled out your 2025 GRP Application before registering for this workshop. RSVP required. See below to RSVP.

We'll start with a short tour of Keep Growing Detroit Farm to visit both the honeybee hives and native bee house, learning the difference between the two. Then, kids will decorate their own wooden native bee house and fill it with natural materials to make a cozy home for solitary native bees. While we work on our houses, we will learn about different types of native bees, the native plants they love, and why they both are so important to our environment. Every family will leave with their very own bee habitat to hang in your outdoor space! Perfect for children of all ages! Bring your curiosity and creativity!
