Tour Descriptions

The tour buses are back! There will be two buses visiting a variety of local farms - one for the eastside and one for the westside. As always, we’ll also have a tour via bike. Here’s what we’re planning for this year’s routes:

  • 🚲BIKE: Pedal through one of Detroit's most vibrant growing neighborhoods, where urban farms, food hubs, reforestation, and community creativity flourish just minutes apart.

  • 🚌WESTSIDE BUS: From pollinator habitats to a groundbreaking urban food forest and research farm and the region's largest raised-bed garden, the Westside tour highlights three inspiring stops.

  • 🚌EASTSIDE BUS: Celebrate the Eastside's rich gardening legacy with visits to three unique spaces that showcase breathtaking blooms, community revitalization, and Detroit's growing roots.

As the routes are carefully curated from members of the Garden Resource Program, many of the tour stops are privately owned. A final list of the routes will be sent to attendees.
